Iconic swamp creature, Senator John McCain (R-Az), is set to once again center the media spotlight on himself while simultaneously endearing himself to the Left by positioning himself in opposition to President Trump’s proposed tax reform.
The President, on September 27, unveiled his simplified tax plan that is revenue neutral while giving thousands of dollars in savings to Americans. This did not deter the Left and RINOs like McCain from doing all they can to stymie the President’s agenda.
In announcing his plan, the President said, “This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity, and I guess it’s probably something I could say that I’m very good at. I’ve been waiting for this for a long time. We’re going to cut taxes for the middle class, make the tax code simpler and more fair for everyday Americans. And we are going to bring back the jobs and wealth that have left our country and most people thought left our country for good.”
McCain, writes TeaParty.org, is among the leaders of an obstructionist political collusion. The enfeebled Senator has an alarming history when it comes to proposed reforms of our oppressive tax system weighing down American entrepreneurship and the personal wealth of citizens.
McCain, they report, has shown “over his decades in public life…zigzagging line on the subject, leaving little clear indication of how he’ll approach a potentially decisive vote. A look at the senator’s record on taxes shows that three things seem most important to him: public debate, some help for the middle class, and not exploding the deficit.”
The 2001 tax bill passed by former President George W. Bush was rebuffed by McCain who accompanied his opposition with the usual liberal clichés on anti-trickle down economic.
When McCain had the chance to honor seven years of pledging to end Obamacare, which was passed in Congress as a tax bill, he had no shame in revealing his dishonesty when he voted against the Graham Cassidy bill in the Senate after he had voted against prior attempts at repeal in 2017.
Thanks to McCain’s betrayal, the chance to repeal Obamacare with a simple majority has now passed and 60 votes are now needed, meaning McCain’s buddies on the Left have to be co-opted into any changes to Obamacare.
One of the main issues that drove colonial Americans to revolution , the monarchial oppression of its subjects through confiscatory taxes, has now been adopted by the Left and magnified to outrageous proportions. For ‘Republicans’ like McCain to side with the 21st century ‘loyalist’ party makes him a modern day Benedict Arnold.
