The Romans had Emperor Caligula nominating his horse, Incitatus, as an actual Senator. America has the Democrats nominating an equally intelligent horse’s ass as a Senator, Al Franken aka Idiotus.
On October 18 President Trump’s Attorney General Jeff Sessions appeared before the Senate to once again discuss his contacts with Russia PRIOR to becoming AG. Sessions knew he would be walking in to a firestorm of Leftist hysteria, but still appeared dutifully before the committee, something the Left and its agent provocateurs have arrogantly waived away (i.e. Lois Lerner, Susan Rice, Fusion GPS, Samantha Power).
Sessions spent his time defending himself from wave after wave of smears and slanderous allegations.
Idiocy substitutes lack of information for the volume of its lies and no one does it better than Franken.
The former unfunny comedian began his inquiry of Sessions by accusing the AG as changing the details of his contacts with Russia. The Washington Post quotes the exchange:
Franken begins by babbling: “First it was, ‘I did not have communications with Russians,’ which was not true. Then it was, ‘I never met with any Russians to discuss any political campaign,’ which may or may not be true. Now it’s, ‘I did not discuss interference in the campaign,’ which further narrows your initial blanket denial about meeting with the Russians. Since you have qualified your denial to say that since you did not, quote, ‘discuss issues of the campaign’ with Russians, what in your view constitutes ‘issues of the campaign?’”
Sessions was quick to reply, “Let me just say this without hesitation: That I conducted no improper discussions with Russians at any time regarding a campaign or any other item facing this country.”
The Attorney General tried to elaborate on the accusations Franken lobbed at him, but was interrupted by his questioner who feared he would not have enough time to lob more slanderous one-liners at Sessions.
Not having any of it, Sessions pushed back in an animated fashion uncharacteristic of him.
“I don’t have to sit here and listen to his charges without having a chance to respond. Give me a break.”
That was enough to shut Franken up and neigh in frustration under his breath.
